Default Visiting Southern California July 4 thru 10

My husband and I will be visiting relatives in Southern California
July 4 thru 10. I would love to arrange a meet-up if at all possible.

On Wednesday, July 5, I will be at Material Possessions in Lake Forest
when they open at 10 a.m. This is one of my favorite stores in the
country and Dave knows if we are in So. Cal. he must plan to stop
there. I will be there for about an hour. If anyone can meet me there
I would be happy to take you to lunch at Mimi's, a family restaurant
we discovered a few blocks from the store.

On Saturday, July 8, we will be in the Redlands area and could meet at
either The Calico Horse or The Quilters Cocoon. Since The Calico Horse
lists reproduction fabrics in the Quilter's Travel Companion (new
issue just released) I would probably prefer that store but either is
OK. I would have to have your telephone number and call you on Friday
with an exact time.

I also hope to stop by The Fabric Patch in Montclair to say good-bye
(I first typed "good-buy". Maybe my fingers know more than my brain) I
don't know if this will time out. In the early days of quilting The
Fabric Patch was one of the few stores to visit.

On the other days we will be visiting with family. If you would like
to meet and can't arrange to be at either store please email me with
your location and I will see if it is anywhere near the family. Maybe
I can sneak out a little while. I don't usually drive while in So.
Cal. but will have my name on the rental car just in case.

Please email me if you can join me at any of the locations.

In San Diego Rosie's Calico Cupboard is a must. I know there are others but
not off the top of my head. Eleanor Burns has a store in the area too.

Have a good trip!

Susan if you get to the central coast area, stop in The Creation
Station in Buellton.

In my neck of the woods Quilt Ventura is a nice shop.

Sorry, I am not otherwise in the area where it sounds like you will be.
Taking the day off from work tomorrow means I cannot take any other
time off this week ;(( As it is, I will have courtroom duty Wed through
Fri plus have my backlog from last week to complete.

Happy and safe traveling!

Normally I would be in the Ventura area because Dave's sister lives
near there but this trip we are meeting at Dave's brother's home in
the mountains above Palmdale. This is such a quick trip that we won't
be in that many places. I will post when I come again.
