Default net skirt

How many layers do you all recommend for a floor length skirt made from
black net, probably semi-circular to give some fullness at the hemm, but not
too puffy. will 3 be enough, or4 or maybe even 5?
thanks
Liz

Depends what you are trying to do with it... If you want it to make
another skirt stick out, I wouldn't make is semi-circular: it works
better as one or two layers made up like a broomstick skirt. And if you
don't want the Victorian crinoline effect, use tulle! If you do, use
dress net, which is like chicken wire, and line it!

On the other hand, if you want a sheer tulle skirt, 5 full circles gives
some translucency without being indecent, but you'll need matching
undies and tights. If what you want is a cloud like layer on top of
something, line 3 or 4 layers.

If you think full circles might be a bit tooooo much, try two panels,
front and back, of a third of a circle each. With tulle skirts, wider
is usually better.

Depends on your net - how stiff is it?
