Mention was made of the dollhouse at Windsor.

Closer to home (for those in the U.S. and esp. the Midwest
-- hey, Karen, have you taken Felicia to Chicago?):

The Thorne Rooms at the Art Institute:

and
Colleen Moore's Fairy Castle at the Museum of Science and Industry:

I've seen the Fairy Castle, and was properly enchanted! But I haven't seen
the Thorne Rooms. I must take Felicia to Chicago this summer!!

I wonder if they still have the miniature rooms at the Art Institute
in Chicago. I saw them 13 or 14 years ago. They were like pictures on
the walls. You looked through a window into the miniature rooms. I
found it interesting.

My Mother and Dad built each of their two grand daughters beautiful
doll houses. I remember Mom gluing each shingle on individually.

I built a scale model, 1" = 1', of the barn that my exH and I built,
that was fun for me. It was big 28"x40". I was never into dolls, I
preferred a hammer and nails, helping dad work on cars, and I played
cowboy a lot too, my sisters played bride while wrapped in grandma;s
lace curtains. I did like sewing, with a "machine".
