"Gallery 21" sales results
Today was the last day of our bead society's annual member show/sale in a local
"artisans' community"-- a collection of art studios in Spanish Village, Balboa Park in San Diego. All items were finished jewelry/ornaments. Sales were very slow the whole 2 weeks of the show, but we did get a lot of visitors come in to see the "9-11 Memorial Bead Quilt", which we had on display in the entry way. I didn't sell any of my "gallery items", but had gross sales of $316 from the "sale table"-- 16 items ranging in price from $3 for a one-loop memory wire bracelet to $60 for a necklace (for which most of the components came from a "BeckiBead" auction!). Eight of the items were under $10 (mainly because I wanted to get rid of them....). On page 4 of my Ruby Lane shop list, are pictured a few of the items that sold, if you're interested. Thanks for the plug! Show sales are funny sometimes. I always sell whatever I
discounted and was surprised when I sold the expensive stuff, LOL Becki "In between the moon and you, the angels have a better view of the crumbling difference between wrong and right." -- Counting Crows |

Kaytee -- saw the necklace, and some great other things. LOVED Alexander's
Great Garden! How is Ruby Lane doing for you? Becki "In between the moon and you, the angels have a better view of the crumbling difference between wrong and right." -- Counting Crows |

I've been on 14 months-- costs of being there have been something like 165%
of gross SALES through them. Will be leaving at the end of this month. Well now that is a bummer. And how is Eclectic beadery doing for you? Becki "In between the moon and you, the angels have a better view of the crumbling difference between wrong and right." -- Counting Crows |

I love your ocean cornucopia necklace! I have some of those shell slices and
have been wondering how to incorporate them in a design. (Not that I would exactly copy yours of course!) Looking at the pic I couldn't tell exactly how you got the fringe through the shell so that the shell didn't slip off - or does it? -- Karleen Page/Vibrant Jewels http://www.vibrantjewels.com/jewelry/welcome.htm JustBead Auctions http://www.justbeads.com/search/ql.cfm?s=21770 PayPal Merchant Account https://www.paypal.com/mrb/pal=7XJ98L86Z7S2C "Kaytee" wrote in message ... This is a half shell ("greenshell"), actually, not just a slice. The fringe/tassel slips a bit, but pretty much holds the shell in place because of it's thickness-- I put some larger beads in the fringe, and did a few branched fringes just below where it comes through the crosspiece of shell. These shells were being sold as scarf slides. Kaytee "Simplexities" on www.eclecticbeadery.com http://www.rubylane.com/shops/simplexities |

Considering that I've hardly done anything with my shop, other than pay a
very low fee (my share of the hosting costs), it's doing pretty well-- about the same amount of sales as on Ruby Lane. A small profit, even. I have always found it amazing that people sell anything from a website, at all. The chances of finding someone's website, without extensive advertising, is just astronomical. Always glad to hear you all are doing well there. You always seem to do well there (collectively). Someone was always reporting sales, and that is a good thing.
