What is Dofuko?Stella It's an old Japanese jacket design that's been adapted to knitting. The body is constructed of vertical strips, then two rectangles are folded to form deep dolman sleeves. Very nifty for patchwork as well, or narrow loom weaving, which may be the origin of the design. Many of the folk in the TKGA guild have worked the strips in blocks of color or texture pattern for an interesting effect. See my message at the beginning of the Dofuko thread for a fuller description and a URL that shows a couple of variations.
