care for gold advice
I got a 10 gram oval gold bar/pendant (it's got an 18K hoop for wearing as a
pendant) from 999.9 fine gold. I was wondering is someone could advise me on what would be the best way to clean it, without demaging the surface? It's got some flower motif on a highly polished surface, so I don't know what to do (only soft cloth or...). Would polishing paste or cream damage the motif, letters etc.? Any advice is welcome! Thank you! Marijan |

If you get it nasty use mild dishwashing liquid and a soft cloth. It won't
get nasty on its own. .999 fine Gold is soft enough that you can mar it with too heavy pressure of another jewelry piece on it but it does NOT tarnish. -- Don Thompson "The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and notwithstanding go out to meet it."- Thucydides "Men are never really willing to die except for the sake of Freedom: Therefore they do not believe in dying completely."- Albert Camus "m4816k" wrote in message ...
