I was wondering if anyone was doing anaclastic and synclastic
metalwork that could advise me on the basic tool to begin with? I've done some anticlasic raising --bracelets and ring-sized stuff-- and it's really easy to get started. A couple of hammers and a few grooves in a stout block of wood will get you started. I recommend this page http://www.michaelgood.com/page2.htm Michael Good is the undisputed master of this type of work. His site has a few examples of his work. PS. If you Google for "anticlastic raising" you'll get a number of good hits. Cheers, Trevor F. |
