Does anyone recognize this dollhouse?
This dollhouse was a Christmas gift in I believe 1964 so the dollhouse
was manufactured on or around then. Does anyone know who made this, what it is called, etc.? I would love to find one today and buy it. I have looked extensively on EBay and elsewhere with no luck. Thanks! http://www.phippscountry.com/gooseol...dollhouse.html |

Both Lundby and Brio were making contemporary-style 3/4" dollhouses and accessories around that time. Brio has since stopped, and Lundby has resumed after a fairly long haitus. So, it might be from Brio. Look carefully at the furnishings to see if any of them are branded or have any markings. I say Brio because I'm not particularly familiar with their line; I do know Lundby of that era (we bought our daughter one in Dec. 1970), and don't recall their making anything that looked like this, but they might have. The fireplace looks just like a Lundby fireplace. Hope this helps -- PLEASE come back here and tell us what you've found out! - Herb |

Well, all I have is the photo - no dollhouse! I am hoping to locate a
dollhouse to purchase just like this one but first I need to know what I am looking for of course. I researched Lundby houses and I was encouraged but this one my sister had is clearly plastic and Lundy houses seemed more wood based. Brio I will check on and let you know what I find out. This is a bit of detective work here... "Herb" wrote in message ... Abby G. wrote: This dollhouse was a Christmas gift in I believe 1964 so the dollhouse was manufactured on or around then. This is a bit of detective work here... If the scale is 1" (1/12) rather than my guesstimate of 3/4", then it could be Tomy or Renwal or Ideal or Marx or ... You might have better luck trying to identify some of the furniture in the photo - there are a lot more used furnishings and accessories available and for sale in the market than there are houses. I'll assume from your pacbell address that you're here on or near the US west coast. There are miniature shows regularly held in most metropolitan areas; many have one or more antique/collectible dealer tables. Those specialists might also be able to help. (The next show I know of will be in Santa Barbara at the Sandman Inn on Sept. 18. - the contact number for information (and I'm going to munge this to keep it out of automatic telemarking phone number robots) is Dale at area code three two three nine three five - three 852 It's a RARE free admission event! You could also send your e-mail and image to any appropriate sites on the following page -- you COULD get lucky! http://directory.google.com/Top/Recr..._and_Exhibits/ - Herb |

That might help the Abby G. positively identify the DH (DollHouse, not Dear Husband) - Herb |
