A quick note from the moderator

Hi everyone.

In an effort, more experimental than anything else, to eliminate some =
occasional
problems with scrambled character sets in postings, I've switched my =
posting
software to send messages in MIME/quited printable encoding, rather than =
the
previous settings of 7bit/8bit. Please let me know if this causes any =
problems
for anyone. As near as I can tell, pretty much everyone nowadays uses =
MIME
capable news readers, so this should work, and will allow some messages =
that may
include things like certain international characters, or accented =
characters,
and the like, to correctly be sent and displayed. Or at least, that's =
how it's
supposed to work. =20

As I said, please let me know if this turns out to have been a mistake on=
my
part. It's easily switched back if need be.
