Default studio vase

hi there,

I have a studio vase in a flattened globular shape. The body has
a lovely semi grey high shine glaze - and underneath the glaze are
spectacular iridescent silver flowers or leaves in a spray type
pattern.
Quite an unusual glazing technique and very handsome in its execution.
vase has a signature in the unglazed foot of the piece. C.J.G?
could anybody please explain the technique involved, maybe identify
the artist too. thankyou
