My mother used to mix up "futon" and "tofu," words that had entered her
vocabulary at about the same time. It was pretty funny to hear her talk about
stir-frying some futon, or saying that a friend of hers had just bought a tofu
couch.

Helen....I can relate to that one ....totally....I do the same. I have
people looking at me with their mouth hanging open or giggeling, after I
come out with the right word in the wrong context...or vice versa. I know
instandly that I have missed the boat once more......LOL

That's funny! I have a long-distance sister who gets technical terms &
concepts a little mixed up sometimes. She wanted to borrow my wedding
dress, and asked if I could "fax" it to her (meaning "Fed Ex"). Sure, as
soon as I figure out how to get it through the sheet feeder.

Hi Karen,

That is funny, I can just see you standing in front of the fax machine trying
to make the dress fit.

Hugs,

Nora
