asking for advice
Hi all. Got a question to ask. I've been working with carving walking sticks
and some staves among other things and I've been trying out using a dremel tool to carve some designs into the wood. I found a few "templates" online (a wolf head and some entertwined dragons) but I'm looking for more and having a little trouble finding things. Does anyone have any fav sites they'd like to share? I've been thinking that "wood burning" templates or just some simple gifs or jpgs of wood carving might be a good place to start. What I'm trying to do now though is going to be a little more nature oriented. (My father, a hunter by nature, has requested a walking stick to help him get around) so I really need to find some new designs. I appreciate any help you guys can send |

I use Photoshop to convert and size photos to make line drawings out of
them. This gives me the ability to carve from real life images. I use the line drawings for creating my carvings. With Photoshop I can also quite easily cut sections from several line drawings and combine them to suit my needs. Although Photoshop is quite difficult to learn, the simpler (and cheaper) versions of it like Photo Deluxe and Elements will do the same thing. I can take you through the steps to make the line drawings with any one of these programs if you want. -- Charley "dnapoe" wrote in message . .. Hi all. Got a question to ask.
