Default Railroad Stipped Denim Fabric

Help:

I am looking for the blue and white stripped fabric that railroad hats and
overalls are made of. I have look on line but haven't found any. Do any of
you have a company that sells or makes it? We need this for a square dance
convention that is using trains for the theme.

Try looking for pillow ticking, I Googled fabric+pillow ticking
and came up with this site
http://www.interiormall.com/cat/disp...age=1&pgcnt=12

There's a lot more but it will give you somewhere to start.

One more thought. I have friends who are into muzzle loader rifles and they
use the 100% cotton striped pillow ticking for patches......they get it at
the Wal-Mart stores that sell fabric.

Oppenheimer's used to carry it, but I haven't seen anything from them in
a long time. You could use ticking stripe, though, and that should be
available at Joann's; I've seen it there, although it's been awhile.
It's a denim fabric, and it generally comes in a narrow width, so be
prepared. Ask for mattress ticking, or pillow ticking.

Hope this helps!

It's also know as "hickory stripes". That might be useful as a search term.
I love railroads and sewing.
