Okay, I borrowed my mother in laws sewing machine, and there's no
instruction book. It's a New Home, one of the newer ones, not antique. Well, we figured out how to thred it, but the bobbin is posing a problem. We can't figure out how to thread the bobbin. I know, from my limited experience that when you have the bobbin threaded correctly, the top thread will 'pick up' the bobbin thread, and pull it through. But how do you thread the bobbin? |

Is this a top-loading bobbin machine? If so - try this:
1) Pick up the bobbin so that the bobbin unwinds toward your left and off of the top of the bobbin. 2) Place the bobbin in the case and pull the thread straight towards you. 3) There's a catch spot on the bobbin case directly in front of you - hook the thread in that notch and pull it back around toward the left/outside of the machine. If it's one of the later ones - look close near the bobbin case - there should be a little picture of the bobbin w/thread coming off - make sure your thread coming off of the bobbin matches that picture. Clear as mud, I'm sure - it's hard to describe in words.... hope that helps a little. "M.Butler" wrote in message om... Think of making the letter P........the stick of the P is thread.......the
loop of the P is the bobbin................. "JKLooney" wrote in message ... Is this a top-loading bobbin machine?
