Default semi, OT, and not

The on topic part is regarding thread. I bought some thread for DDs
costume, but was thinking about using it for some decorative stitching
on a quilt as well..it's Sulky RAYON!!! uck!!! Have any of you used
this before? I am thikning that, for DDs costume it will be fine, but
I'm afraid that it will melt, fray, break if used in a quilt..any
feelings on this??

Now, the OT part....I have the start of whatever DS has...not too
surprising since I have to stay inside with him, I'm the only one to go
into his room during the day (he isn't having too much trouble because
he has DVDs, coloring stuff, his LeapPad and books, and all of his
toys), taking him medicine and food and juice. I sprayed everything
down with Lysol this morning and will do it again this afternoon. I
have taken down the towels that he and DD were using..only left the
hand towel for him - he is really good about washing his hands before
touching anything that the rest of us will be touching - tossed a load
of laundry in (mostly his clothes) and am chilling out right now. This
is being posted through Google because I am on the laptop and can't
bring up my mail tool on this machine (mainly bought for when DH
travels, but comes in handy when I have to be in the same room as DD).

DH will be home early today so that I can get my butt to the docs
office...would rather head this off before it got too bad. I'm just
hoping that DD doesn't get this because, though she can be quite vocal,
and mostly understandable, when she gets sick or hurt, she gets
incoherent.

Ah well, life goes on and we make the best of it. I've had my morning
coffee and some rice cakes. DS has had his morning dose of meds and a
SunnyD, DD has had her morning BoostPlus and trail mix (she has made it
very clear that she prefers that to any of the cereal that we have, and
since it is mostly dried fruit...it's cool).

I am hoping that, after the doctor visit, I can get some sleep and
maybe a little bit more work done on the Tinkerbell costume. I am
still sorting fabrics and such as they get to the house..poiles piles
everywhere...lol.

Rayon is not as strong as cotton, but it holds up pretty well. It's a
synthesized cellulose fiber; cotton is also cellulose. Won't melt like
polyester. Fine for decorative stuff. I wouldn't piece with it.

Hope you don't get the bug as bad as your DS! :-p
Does Lysol have any effect on viruses? Don't think so, not sure. Hand
washing works, simply because it physically rinses viruses away (without
killing them).
Make sure you get some rest!

I use it for some of my embroidery projects. No problem with it holding
up. No problem with it melting. I don't use it for piecing at all.
