Default blackwork

Got a question for you experts in this. I am doing complicated Leon Conrad
work. Because of the angles the Holbein stitch is used little here. Will this
use up more thread so I run out? I am using the thread kit that came with
Elizabethan Elegance.

Let me put in a plug for my various attempts to get people to measure
how much floss it takes to complete projects, so that there would be hard,
factual data to answer this sort of question. My guess is that the two
ways of backstitching use the same amount of floss. IIRC the two ways are
called Holbein and double running, but I could be wrong. I call them out
and return, and floss moving.

time that is spent in stitching.
