i just dont get why you northeners have such inclination to out do each
other in the snow dept. whos got more inches, i guess size does count but
its snow for crying out loud. whos got lower temps, who cares, its snow for
crying out loud.
how long you gotta shovel to get out, big deal, its snow for crying out
loud.
i for one dont 'do' snow. ) its too freak'n cold for me.
enjoying summer in the south pacific with temps today around 743F and a
light breeze off the pacific ocean. snorfle

In spite of the ice storm today we had school. By the time I got out
my car doors were frozen shut. Two of us managed to pull open a back
door. Then a young, spry coworker jumped from the back seat, over the
stick shift and pushed the front door open. Then it took me a half
hour to defrost and scrape the ice so I could see to drive. The
suburban cowboys in their giant suvs don't realize that ice is not
snow ant that that 4 wheel drives skids pretty well. Passed 2
overturned SUVs and one that slid into someone's fence.

roflmao, when i read u'r reply i said "did i type that?"
went and checked in my 'sent' box and i did indeedy, lol.
nice catch.
its not quite that hot in summer and yes we do get colder in winter but it
never ever ever snows here in auckland. cant recall it ever reaching 32F
here in my 30yrs either.
we're at sea level, well on either side of the dozen or so dead (i hope)
volcano cones the city is built around, sitting on an isthmus between two
natural harbours.
just too much sea water so close to get snow here in town.
that said, with the worlds weather doing such extremes as its been doing the
past few yrs would not surprise me if it snowed up in the foothills
sometime. that is where the westerly rains that come in dump before they
reach town.
so if it snows out over the pacific at all....i guess we just never know,
eh.
thanks for todays morning chuckle. )
cheers,
jeanne
