Default Photo Book making services?

I have been a digital camera nut for awhile now (had my first in 1999)
and now I have a billion photos (ok, not billion but I'm getting
there). I would like to put some of my photos into an album/scrapbook.
I am not particularly great with my hands so I was hoping to avoid the
glue/taping pictures into a photo album but more like getting pictures
(along with their IPTC comments) put into a book, like Flickr/Qoop
have.

The thing is I am looking for something that will last (acid-free
pages, cover, etc) and that I can customize (beyond how many pictures do
I want per page). Can anyone suggest some online services (hopefully
that can interface with flickr but that's not critical) that make
books/photo albums? Any help would really be appreciated!

Cheers

There are several such services -- one what recently mentioned in
MacWorld magazine. Mac users have a service through iPhoto.

These aren't particularly inexpensive, however.

Search google and I'm sure there are many competing services or check
out the web site of the photography magazines -- you may even find an ad
for such a service there.

Have you tried http://www.blur.com? There is free book composition software
and then you can order one or any number of copies.

Kindest regards,

I use the Mac books and love them. I can get a 20 page book for
$9.99. I usually order 2 or 3 of the same book so the shipping evens
out. Just did one of my granddaughter's 1st birthday. I have 50
pictures in it and could have had another 20 or so.

Could you elaborate on this? Are you refering to something that is
made by Macintosh Inc? At the moment i am a Linux/Win user so i don't
think i could make use of Mac products (though perhaps its just via a
Mac website?)

Default Photo Book making services?

Hello-
15 years ago I started a card company, which evolved into
scrapbooking. Although I have been in the industry for a long time,
my kids didn't have any scrapbooks to prove it....at least until
Christmas this year and that is when I made my first photobooks.
About 18 months ago, I decided there needed to be another solution for
scrapbooking. I don't think I am the only busy mom out there. That
is when we started working on a product called MemoryMixer. It is an
easy to use software that allows you to create photobooks, albums
printed at home etc. It also allows you to share the same album
digitally. In a digital album you are able to include the little
video clips that you take using your digital camera as well as record
your own narration.

You can download a free 30 day trial and create your own books etc.
Our books are stitched then glued (high quality binding) with a photo
cover. Our prices are very competitive with the market however we
include 26 pages instead of the standard 20. You can add more
pages, place as many photos as you want on a page and even add as much
journaling as you want.

I would be happy to answer any other questions. Good luck and have a
great day!
