revitalizing old or stiff clay sheets
I'm not sure if this would mess up some patterns in sheets too much (as
opposed to just trying to warm and gently pressing/manipulating), but I thought Sarajane especially might like to hear about it after the discussion we had long ago about the dangers of storing sheets of clay Thanks for thinking of me, Diane! and this certainly is a good tip to know, I can see that it would indeed work. Distortion shouldn't be much if you hit it straightly enough. After all, I smack my canes around for the same effect, just hadn't thought of doing it to the sheets!
