Default Help with blue jean quilt??

Ok I've made a ton of these, ok well maybe 6 of them. But this time I
want to do the one were the seams are on the outside and you cut them to
fray. My question is I've noticed sometimes on my other ones the
stitching has come out in a couple of places. Now that could be from me
speed piecing and forgetting to back stitch when I started a new piece.
But I was thinking this time maybe I should put two stitch lines. Not
really happy with the double needle idea, although if you say so I will
try it. Other than that maybe zigzag? Or do a straight stitch and then
zigzag? Or maybe just make my stitches smaller???

The instructions I have said to use a stretch stitch. The stretch stitch on
my machine is a two forward, one back straight stitch. No problems with it
coming undone, unless, of course, I snip too far in the seam and cut the
thread!
