help?
I know this isn't probably the best group to post this in, but I'm running
out of ideas here... I am looking to find out how to create raised stickers or even the 3D Gel type stickers... or even the plastic covered "puffy" type stickers. I can't seem to find ANY information on how to make them... If I wanted to BUY some there's about a million places to buy pre-made little stickers like that but I'm wanting full page type stickers with my own designs and such on them. Any information at all would be helpful. Thanks! Kanati |

You can dry emboss the design and fill the back with dimensional glue so
that it won't cave in. Janet Debbie Hamann wrote: Here are some ideas on sticker making Puffy kind You could stamp or draw a design on paper. Then use LIQUID APPLIQUE, it puffs automatically, either by air drying or using a heat gun on it. GEL stickers I like to use gel or glitter glues on the design, makes some interesting effects DIMENSIONAL MAGIC or Crystal Lacquer This gives an enamel effect to the paper. After you stamp, draw the design, add Diminsional magic to either all of the design or just parts of it. Let dry overnite. I have been making my own stickers for lots of years, so if you need any more ideas, holler debbie I know this isn't probably the best group to post this in, but I'm running out of ideas here... Local hobby lobby didn't have much in the way of what was suggested, but I
did find some UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) and a heat gun. Now I'm trying to figure out what good the embossing heat gun is supposed to do to a powder it blows away before getting hot enough to actually emboss anything. Kanati "hansen" wrote in message ... Thanks for the tips. The UTEE stuff would be PERFECT, but for one thing... It dries hard, or brittle... I need something that has the same raised, clear thickness of about 2 or 3 good coats of UTEE, but is FLEXIBLE afterwards. Like a plastic coating. Yow. That's a tough one. I don't think I've even seen commercially produced items with that sort of coating. If you wanted similar but *harder*, I could give you some ideas. -- Pat Kight |

If you do the project with waterproof ink, you could give it a flexible
raised effect with Elmer's Glue. It's kind of a low tech approach, but it might work.
