There are a number of reprints of Victorian and Edwardian millinery books around that describve the how-to, I've only used buckrum bases myself but found them pretty easy to make up as I went along, would think the wire version is fairly simple also. Sally Hi Sally I suppose I could just get a large nicely made straw and intertwine wire through it to make it sturdier and also to have a good foundation with which to wire other pieces like feathers and flowers. I imagine some of it can be hot-glued also. Am making a hat for a wedding. Thanks for your thoughts Lizzie |

You might also try the local bridal shops. When I was a bride, about a
million wonderful years ago, my bridal boutique had a lot of different hat forms available. Good Luck, Laura "Sally Pointer" wrote in message ... "Elizabeth DeLeo" wrote in message ...
