Default Stitch Version 1.2 Question

Piggybacking: Is there any way to print in any mode other than symbols?
I've experienced this same problem with the backstitching. This
creates a lot of clutter especially when the backstitching is all in one
color so those symbols are unnecessary.

I'm trying out this program and trying to create my first (and possibly
only) cross-stitch design.
The problem I'm having is with backstitching. When I click to see the
picture as symbols, the backstitching is also symbols. Is there anyway
to see it as plan lines with the colors as symbols?
