Default BH & G's Cross-Stitch Christmas magazine 2004

I bought the Better Homes & Gardens annual magazine tonight and am very
disappointed to find that most of the designs were published in previous
issues. I already have these charts in previous Cross-Stitch Christmas
magazines. Did any of you discover this?

Mavis,

You, at least eight others that I know, and I have all found this out the
hard way. I hope that your note and my reply will help save others from
spending their stash money for something different than a magazine that has
mostly charts from previous publications.

Luckily, instead of just picking it up and buying it, I flipped through it
at Borders on Friday and noticed that atleast half of them had been
published in other issues that I already had. This will be the first year
that I haven't bought the christmas special. Hopefully, the JCS ornamment
issue won't be a disappoinment.

How about contacting the BH&Gardens publisher of this magazine and letting
them know. Never can tell when such remarks are acted upon in the future.
I receive the annual Hard Back book from them and they always have something
great in it. I almost picked this magazine up, yeserday, but recognized so
many designs that I already have...So down it went.

I like it- but, I haven't bought any new cross stitch books or magazines in
a long time.

Hi! I am new to the group. I just ordered this from Mary Jane's but haven't
received it. I'm sorry to hear it's all repeats. I won't buy it again next year
if so.

I like it too but don't usually buy it so I didn't notice the
"repeats". After hearing about it here I did notice the ad on the
inside back cover showed an issue with the same design that's on page
5, a detail of which is on page 112 - directly opposite the ad! I
wonder if the other magagzines in the ad are/will be like this one.

I'm another poor soul that didn't see these messages... I usually just
pick up their magazine without looking because I know their quality of
work and love it.

When I got it home, I thought it was just my imagination until I
actually pulled the magazines out and checked. It's almost like they
needed to get it out so they quickly inserted the old projects again.
And it's not even like they used ones from long ago...they used most
from the last issue...

Anyone who was upset with this years' issue. Here is the URL to leave
a comment. It's the only place I could find.
