I cannot for the life of me remember what the song was.
Memories play funny tricks.

The funniest answering-machine message I've ever heard was this one on a
friend's phone:

"Hello Faddah, hello Mudder,
Or whoever called this number.
I can't hear the phone a-ringing,
'Cause I'm busy practicing up on my singing.
Or perhaps I'm only sleeping,
So when this thing starts its beeping,
If you leave your name and number,
I will call you when I wake up from my slumber!"

Now THAT is hysterical! If we didn't have people calling here for DH from work, that
would be awesome for me....wonder if my cell phone outgoing message can handle one
that long?

Very good point.

I think it would be funny -- ONCE.

I can't hear the phone a-ringing,
'Cause I'm busy practicing up on my singing.
Or perhaps I'm only sleeping,
