Default Ink transfer removal

I purchased a pair of pillow cases to embroider from ebay and after
finishing them I found out the ink pattern would not wash out. This is
a first for me. Everything else I ever embroidered the pattern washed
out. I tried Oxyclean but that didn't work. I can't use any bleach
because I have all ready completed doing them. Any ideas??? Thank
you.

It is not uncommon at all for the inks stamped on products to remain
after washing. It's a real problem, especially when they are bold
lines. Hand drawing with black ink on silk or linen is a common
practise and it's perfectly acceptable for some of the lines to show.
But I know what you mean.

Repeated washings should be your remedy, but it may take a very long
time, if ever.

I truly understand your angst. It's a sorry development after your hard
work.

Dianne

I am trying to catch up with this list (grin).

I wonder, could the hard to remove lines be 1 particular brand of
pillowcases ? Hopefully it is and we could just avoid that brand in the
future. Probably not that simple, though.

I have not had a problem removing the lines before either. It would be very
upsetting if that should happen.
