Default Baer Fabrics

Has anyone here bought anything from Baer Fabrics
http://www.baerfabrics.com/ ?

The site looks good, but I'd like to hear from a satisfied
customer.

What I want to buy are metal eyes to use instead of
buttonholed bar tacks on my waistbands -- I close my pants
and skirts with #3 hooks.

The shipping charges are more than the price of the hooks,
so I want to choose correctly the first time. The pictures
with the descriptions of the "eyes" are what I call loops,
and the descriptions of the "loops" are with pictures of
what I call eyes, so I hesitate. I could, I suppose, buy a
gross of each, but I already have two or three lifetimes'
supply of #3 loops.

And I could use a really-big loop to clip my pocket watch
onto, but have no use for enormous eyes.

I bought from them years ago, but haven't done so in a while. Their service at
that time was excellent.

Well, that's me! In fact, the costume department may still have an 8x10
of me in my green gown on the wall.

They are wonderful. I don't know how they are on e-mail, but I spoke
with them on the phone and they were always willing to help me figure
out what I wanted. If you're not sure that what you're ordering is what
you want, try faxing them a description and a photocopy of what you want.

I've been a semi-regular customer of Baer Fabrics for years, as has my mom. I
don't recall a time when we've ever been dissatisfied with Baer's. They are
located about an hour's drive from here, so I've always dealt with them
in-person; thus, I wouldn't know about their customer service by phone or
e-mail. However, I will be very surprised if you can't get the help you need
from them.

Joy, try SewTrue. They have separate hooks and eyes for skirts and
trousers. I have made a couple of purchases from them, which were
quickly and properly handled.

Oddly enough, that's exactly what I bought when I was at Baer's two months ago!
