Could be, but the "Where's George?" site has been around for quite
awhile. I remember getting an email about it at least 3 years ago.
Interesting that you see so many bills written on if it's illegal. I
even remember getting one once that had a name and phone number on it!
YIKES!

JM2¢,
Jenn

Hey Jenn, how did you make the cent sign? It's nowhere on my keyboard.

I
know how to make the copyright sign.... alt 0169 , and I *used* to know
how to make some other things too, but I forgot now. Is there a
website
that has all that information on it, do you know? That would be a
handy
site to have on hand when you need it. )

Gemini

Hey, Gem!
If I miss Jenn's reply, forward the info to me, wouldjaplease?
TIA,
Hugs,

Noreen,
I believe it's Alt 0162.
There's a list at:

http://www.jolenemorris.com/InfoSeries/ASCII.htm
http://www.lookuptables.com/
http://www.ascii.cl/
http://www.kelseypub.com/irc/charmap.shtml

Sorry for so many: I have a copy of the first one on my hard drive, and
it
took me a while to find the online link.

You've already gotten some responses, but just a note: you have to use
the keypad for the numbers. Using the numbers across the top of the
keyboard won't work. I use Alt+0162.

go to Start, to Programs, to Accessories, to System Tools, to
Character Map. then you can copy the odd characters & paste
into your mail, news or wherever you're writing on the
computer (some programs will let you drag the selected
characters in). if it's a character you'll want to use a lot,
look on the bottom of the character map window when your
character is selected & it gives the keyboard shortcut.

Try Lee's suggestion then... maybe that will work for you instead.

ups.com...

A few days ago I noticed one of my dollar bills (USA) was stamped in
red, and looking closer I saw the stamp said to go to
www.wheresgeorge.com.

I did, and found that it's a website that is called 'US Currency
Tracking Project'. I put the serial number of my bill in, and found
that it had been in Manchester, CT on Nov. 2nd, and that the last
person had received it in his change from Dunkin Donuts.

For anyone in the UK who is interested, there is a UK version at
http://www.findlizzy.co.uk
