Default Pattern hunt - a swim suit

Not a bikini, but a one piece, or a modest 2 piece that has a tank for
a top or best yet, a empire waist top. Preferably crochet 'cos then I
could crank it out for this weekend.

I searched the archives and found a pattern for a gorgeous binkini.
But it wouldn't be a good look on me...

I remember having a knitted swimsuit when I was a small child. The crotch
was always down by my knees when I came out of the water

It is going to be really hot here this weekend and I live right on a
beautiful river with a swimming hole. I ordered a swimming suit but
it won't be here until next week. I was hoping to throw something
together so I could go sit in the water.

The sagging is something I was trying to figure out. How about a
bathing suit with suspenders...

Auntie O,

Yes, I remember that happening too. In fact if I check I have a picture of me
in my two piece outfit. LOL

I don't remember it but I have pictures of me as a VERY small child in such a
swimsuit -- enough to not have any interest in reproducing the same. It
probably functioned about like O's as it looked really droopy in the picture.

A long time ago, I had a girlfriend that loved to go to the beach, and who
made her own (tiny) bikinis out of all kinds of exotic materials. She never
wore them into the water. She said that they were "beach wear", not "swim
wear!" : )

Did you want knit or crochet bikini patterns? I think I have some crocheted
ones bookmarked, but will have to search for them. Let me know............
