Thanks for this Butterfly, you made me cry. I know this is going to
be SOOOOOO much better when it's over, but for lack of better
terminoligy.........it pretty much sucks right now! LOL

thank you again for your very kind reassurance and compassion.

Hugs to you

Be GOOD to yourself...don't be afraid to say 'NO or *I NEED*' I can't

Patti was at the show with me this year and she knew exactly what
booth I was talking about. It was the same one where last year they
were teaching needle felting and that's why it stuck in her mind too.
And yes, the link you posted for the e-bay store, was exactly the same
people as the booth at the show! So you were very successful in
locating in exactly what I was talking about!

The other really cool thing about Crawford Designs garment dyed
sweatshirts - is that they also sold/sell them without ribbing on the
bottom, they have an open bottom with side slits that makes them
perfect to use for quilted jackets!

And OOOOoooooohhhhhhh the color choices! You've got to see and feel
them to truly understand the difference between these and an "ordinary
sweatshirt".

Thanks again everyone for the suggestions, tips and reassurance on the
recovery. Butterfly I have a cross-stitch baby blanket project I'm
working on for my upcoming grandbaby while in stuck in bed..... but I
lose attention and patience with needlework way too fast! LOL

Hugs,
Tina

When I had my hysterectomy, it took me a good six weeks to get back to
reasonably close to normal, and I just had parts removed -- no
endometriosis to deal with. I was off work -- a desk job -- for the
entire 6 weeks. It was longer than that before I was comfortable in pats
with a fly front. Don't rush yourself; it takes time for your body to
heal. Take care of yourself.

Default Please help me? Sweatshirts, Fibro

There once was an article in Threads magazine about men who sew and one
man featured was a surgeon who stood as he sewed, leaning against a wall.
His work was absolutely beautiful---I believe he even made shoes. And I
remember
that because he was a surgeon he tried to save his hands so did everything
he could
by machine. Mary/VT

One of the surgeons I had was diagnosed with Fibro. He KNEW were I hurt

and
just how painful it could be. He also sewed for relaxation. He is the one
that got me on the 10 min regimen when I 'knew' I couldn't do it anymore.

He
also told me that on his real painful days he STOOD when he sewed and

leaned
his back against the opposing wall. He had 2 set-ups..one in his den and

the
stand-up one in the hall.

I will NEVER forget him. Can't recall his name, but I can picture what he
looks like, the sound of his voice, and tell you which surgery he did.

Some years ago I had to have a very painful bone marrow test. Afterwards

I
was told that the Consultant doing it had actually had one so he could
know what he was putting his patients through. So they do exist - or one
does anyway!

Fortunately my bone marrow was ok (apparently my very nasty symptoms

were
caused by a virus and steroids sorted everything out.)

Anne, please believe me when I say I am NOT laughing at you - but
there certainly was some humourous irony in your post!

No, this is not enjoyable to recover from and my doctor has spoken to
me on many occasions as though this is something people just do all
the time and go on. I made the exact same comment to my husband as
you, after seeing the GI specialist and having him probe me every
which way but loose on Wednesday! Every last one of these doctors
should have to have the EXACT same thing done TO them that they are
about to embark on doing to their patients in their area of practice
BEFORE they are ever allowed to cut or offer medical service/advice to
any other human being.

I'm sorry, but it should just flat be a requirement!

Hope you heal soon and have reassuring answers and information even
sooner!

Tina

Didn't they tell you to grab a pillow and hold it tight to your tummy when
you do that? They DID make me "practice cough" in hospital and gave me a
pillow to make sure I was holding it right.....wrap BOTH arms around it NOT
just one...now cough.and do it X times a day. gotta keep those lungs clear.

And if you ride in a car and the seat belts hurt, tuck a small pillow or
a folded bath towel between you and the belt. This tip was from our
parish nurse after my hysterectomy.

Thank you so much Connie and Pati !!! I received the two lavender
Crawford Designs sweatshirts today! The color is absolutely gorgeous
(and now I'm wishing I had ordered one for myself), the service was
outstanding, they shipped my order out the same day I ordered and I
would have had the shirts last Thursday if it hadn't been for
Thanksgiving!

Not that I'm trying to promote their business or anything, just wanted
to let you guys know these were the sweatshirts I was looking for,
exactly, and I am a very happy customer!

Hugs,
Tina
