Default Aloe infused yarn?

I saw this worsted acrylic downtown that claimed to be good for hands
because of the aloe. It only came in 3 very basic colors, but I wonder if
there's anything to the aloe being there, or if it's a waste of time.

Anyone have opinions?

If my hands needed aloe lotion, I'd put aloe lotion on them and buy
yarn that I liked.

I'd be careful who I gave an aloe-infused knitted object to, because
some people are allergic to aloe. I'd feel that I would have to
make a label "contains aloe" to warn unsuspecting guests, too.

Still, it probably washes out enough the first time for general use,
unless the person is really sensitive.

Nice marketing scam, don't you think?

I think that posting this question here, shows your are wondering about
it already. I was thinking that it must be messy to knit
with.....LOL.......Ha, ha.

Stay away from that kind of dumb marketing ploy. Like Tamar says, when
you need cream for your hands you will go and buy it.....

True. But I tend to turn down lotions passed around in gatherings because
I'm part of the "control group".

Many years ago I worked with some acrylic yarn like this and it was wonderful. When the store carrying it went out of business I never saw it again
