Default snap bags discoveries

Those little shards of tape are SHARP! They'll poke right in you. I used the
Fiskar scissors that have the real short blades. I think I bought them to
make rag quilts. Never made a rag quilt with them, but they cut the metal
tape perfect. I made the smallest bag. It's too cute. DH & I are already
fighting over it. He thinks he can find all kinds of uses for them. They
won't come open and dump your stuff all over. I am going to make the next
size now. I want one that my Ipod and earplugs both fit into. I sure don't
like quilting the fabric and batt together. I'm going to see what happens if
I don't.

The side with the markings on it is the side that has an inward curve.
You put the 'numbered' sides facing each other. And, I only know about
the ones I've made but yes you do have to hold it open with one hand . . .
or your toes, I guess, if you needed both hands to retrieve something.

Makes no sense to me either, Jeanne. Especially since you put the cup
sides
facing inward. Just no sense at all - but it works and it's fun. Easy
to
entertain some of us. Polly

I made 4 of them last night, different sizes. The last 3, I just sewed a
big "X" to hold the layers together. Much better. I used warm and natural
batting in one of them. It has more padding, but the "snap" isn't as snappy.
Too thick. It still stays closed well enough, just maybe not as tight.

They were fun to make!

Default snap bags discoveries

Seems like a good use for ones quilting samples: just cut bag pieces
out of them, and maybe use an unquilted contrast bit for the snap top.
