Default how to stop the ink gotting on the wood

can anyone tell me how to stop the ink getting on the wood as it is
ruining some of my stamps?

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

If they're self-assembly stamps, try spraying the wood with polyurthane
before assembling. My Mom and sister have done it and say it works great,
all they have to do is wipe any ink off the wood.
