Default Art Nouveau Dollhouse Furniture

Hello group.

I know nothing about dollhouses.

My girlfriend, however, has some interest in them. She also loves art
nouveau. Does anyone know where I can find something for a dollhouse
in the Art Nouveau tradition? Can you point me to a website? Does
someone have something they'd like to sell?

Any help would be apprecitated.

Art Nouveau is an art period, roughly between 1895 & 1914. It crosses
over the Victorian era (1837-1900) and the Edwardian era (1901-1919).

Therefore, you should look for a house from one of those eras. I don't
think you'll find one listed as Art Nouveau. Once you've found the
house, you can look for art objects & furnishings from the Art Nouveau
period.

I would suggest going to Google and researching Art Nouveau so you'll
know what to look for. Ebay is a good source. In their Basic Search,
type in Dollhouse Art Nouveau. Even if you don't buy anything there,
you can see what is available and check out your local dollhouse store.

Will, You can look under "books" at www.miniaturescene-york.com for a book
about Art Deco, which came in towards the end of Art Nouveau. There are
also many sources for art nouveau, which was somewhat contemporary with the
Craftsman movement, which is my personal favorite. Check out Google, also
check the Archives at www.smallstuff-digest.com to wee what's there. Mini
wishes for a successful search 8~ )
