CHEAP Fabric
Does anyone know where to find discounted fabric. I was looking at some
Kravets and Robert Allen fabrics and I cannot find anything under $100. If anyone knows of a place to look, i would really appreciate the advise. |

This group tends to go in the other direction. We scour out fine fibers and
spin them into unbelievably precious yarns. We seek out unusual yarns and knit them into tokens of pure love. We weave fabrics that are pure art, and absolutely priceless. When we have done all of the above, we tell stories that would make Mark Twain and Jules Vern blush with embarrassment. But, we have no shame. When we need quilting fabric, we go to the thrift stores. If that does not work we google and use the yellow pages. And, sometimes we are so busy with our projects that we will just wait months for a sale at Joannes. Aaron wrote in message ups.com... Does anyone know where to find discounted fabric. wrote: Remember the topic was CHEAP fabrics. I think there is a bit of confusion here because "cheap" can mean "inexpensive" but it also can mean "shoddy." I would NEVER use shoddy, poor quality fabric in one of my art quilts but I use inexpensive fabrics all the time! :-) Erin http://arkivarie.livejournal.com/ |

Thanbk so much ya'll you repied. I was a way from my computer for a
couple days and when i got back to read your messages i couldn't help but laugh. the playful bickering is quite fun to read. I definately will try some of your suggestion. Also I found a great website for those people who are looking for discount fabrics that are ussually quite expensive. Its www.commercialinteriorsoutlet.com. Take a look they have a lot of manufactures and they also carry wallpaper yet I haven't had the need for that yet. thanks! CHEAP Fabric
Thank you for this site , although i have no use for it , by the time
theypack it post it [all on my costs] these cloth become so costly that i feel the only thing i could do with them is put them in a bank`s safe. Thus i have my way , to get GOOD quality cloth for reasonable prices, i walk the cloth shops and but materails [ of course only those i need and like !!] that are end of bolts, i go to shops that sell Curtain materials ,,, etc..... The left overs of my clothes , or other sewing projects become parts of my art work . and i also share it with other fiber friends. mirjam Thanbk so much ya'll you repied.
