Oxford vs Pinpoint Oxford vs Broadcloth?
Regarding men's dress shirts .... what is the difference between
oxford, pinpoint oxford, and broadcloth? I think oxford is a heavy material and broadcloth is much lighter? What is pinpoint oxford in relation to these? Is it in between? |

Oxford cloth is a plain weave fabric, with the same number and size of threads in both directions; pinpoint oxford is two colors, one in each direction. The original meaning of "broadcloth" meant any cloth that was wider than 36 inches. Now, it usually refers to plain weave fabric used to make shirts. Teri |

Poplin is a type of canvas--the lightest weight. It has a crisp
finish, and is used for lightweight jackets, pants and shorts. Teri |
