Default Time zones

Sorry- in my last post I got the times switched around- in summer we are with
Chicago and in winter we are with New York. Which just illustrates HOW
confusing it is. ;-)

Thank you Gussy !
That is a nice example, i remember when we lived in Boston that we
flew to the West coast and how immensely big it was , so i have some
idea, but it never really registers ,, not when you live in a
country`s whose length you can drive in 6-7 hours ,
thank you for the nice example mirjam

Mirjama a good way to think of how wide Canada and the USA are, is to
imagine driving at 100 KM per hour for 4 days with no stopping. That is an
approximation of how long it would take you to get from one coast to the
other by car. I know I'm not far out with that as I've done it 4 times.
Though I will admit it was allot more fun when we took 3 weeks to make the
trip. Each time we did it with 2 small children, to this day I still count
my blessings at what great travellers my kids were.
