Default Couple of newbie questions

Ok, so I've been beading as far as making jewelry and beaded crochet
stuff for a goodly bit. I want to get into designing my own stuff more,
and also loom weaving and using more seed/cylinder beads. So, the
questions:

1 - I use a Mac. Is there ANY beading software out there other than
Beadscape for the Mac? And if anyone here uses Beadscape, what's your
take on it?

2 - Delicas vs. Mill Hill Magnificas. Are they the same size/shape?
Any strong preference of one over the other and why? I know the
Magnificas are considerably less expensive (like, $1.34 per g vs. over
$2 per g). By the way, best deal on Delicas I've found so far is the
sample packs and jumbles at http://www.beyondbeadery.com.

I realize these are probably totally covered in the FAQ or something,
but I can't seem to find such a thing after extensive googling.

Where would one find Mill Hill Magnificas?
I googled just to look at prices and to see colors, but got nothing useful.
thanks

I don't use Mill Hill anything. I find after culling the useless
beads, they're not as cheap as they seem.

You think Mill Hill are cheap? EGAD! What kind of prices are you paying for
seed beads?

I guess that answers that question, doesn't it? I have some Delicas and
Nymo here to fool around with until my loom shows up. Right now I am
crocheting an amulet bag with some cheap 10/0 seed beads and I've come
to the conclusion that cheap beads are a pain in the butt. So Mill Hill
is out, then. Thanks for the info.

http://www.millhillbeads.com , but it sounds like they might be a good
one to stay away from. Unless you enjoy having to toss beads that are
defective.

Welcome, Jennifer,

I checked out your site. No beads. (Pout!) I'd love to see some of your
creations.

I make beaded crochet purses. They are especially a favorite project of
mine for travel. It's self contained. All the beads are strung on.
Nothing to drop, etc.

Gimme a bit, our server up and died and we just got going on a new
machine, so a bunch of the pics I had up have gone the way of the dodo
bird. I have to find the backup tapes and hope I still have them
somewhere, or possibly just take some new pics!

Yeah, I took it up to have some project to do that was portable and took
up very little room. I also do bead stringing and work in polymer clay
but right now, due to home improvements, all of that stuff is packed away.
