Are we still talking rotary cutters here?

Megan, it sounds as though you may be using your rotary cutter without
the spring washer which allows the blade to roll,
Have you changed you blade and forgotten to replace this washer?

Most people won't admit to having a screw loose. You are very brave Wanda

Kate:
For SnW, or any project with more than 6 layers, I strongly
recommend a GIANT cutter ... 60 mm blade. I indulged in that for
a SnW class because at the time I was in intensive therapy for
the shoulder problem. That was one of the best moves I've made! I
do take care to NOT use it for just a few layers ... as the blade
is costly to replace I want to use it where it counts. In fact
this reminds me that I could use my JoAnne Store Coupon for a
blade packet.

I am cutting on my 'NEW' new worktop in the dining room - one of the
bits replaced last week in the Great Kitchen Saga! ;P And yes, I am
using my big cutting mat! And a Fiskars 45 mm ergonomic cutter. I am
speed cutting - up to 8 layers at a whack! My worktop is 36.5" high -
an ideal height for me. I think it's the pressure needed to get a
slightly dull blade through 8 layers of quality cotton!

I WILL change the blade before I do my Stack'N'Whack! Need one of those
blade sharpeners, and a source for bulk buying the blades here in the
UK...
