I love quilting. I think I do very well at quilting. But, I suck at
color choices. I'm stuck on what color to use for the background in
the stack'n whack quilt I'm making out of my great bug fabric. The
quilt will be for a 6 year old boy.

So, I'm leaving it up to you guys. Vote for which background color
you like and I'll tally the votes and go with the majority.

Here's the choices:

Mardi,
I think the red looks spectacular. I think it accentuates the

kaleidoscope
effect the best whereas the blue and the yellow make the pinwheel shape

the
feature. Just my humble opinion. When I do S&W quilts I usually have a
medium to dark background often the second or third colour within the

focus
fabric. Whatever you choose the little guy will have a eye-catching quilt.

I agree with Kellie. If all of the pinwheels are the same; then I'd use
different backgrounds for each block. That would keep the quilt from being
predictable.

Yellow - especially if, as you say, its brighter than in the photo.

Small suggestion here - can you turn the flash off on your digital
camera? - it can be too bright at close distance...
