Default Front toggle nrcklaces

Does anyone have any experience with this sort of necklace design?
http://www.gimme.de/andeesign/andees...ightlapis.html

It looks so good in photos, but I can't imagine it staying centered while
being worn.

My sister made one - and it stays centered because the focal bead is
connected to the round part of the toggle - the weight of the focal
holds the necklace in place. The one thing you have to remember is to
keep the wire or jump ring you use a bit small because it can get in
the way of the toggle closing.

Ohh, I like that. i'd not seen those before. I like the idea of the
toggle in front, especially because my mom likes toggles, but can't
seem to fasten them behind her neck (i've told her to fasten in front,
and then turn it around...but she keeps forgetting). This way, she
can just fasten and go. Awesome! I don't see why they wouldn't stay
in one place when being worn, though, as the pendant would weight it
well. There are so many pretty toggles out there....got my brain
working now, and I can't do anything about it today...LOL.

Thanks, Tina. I'll have something to work on when I get home!

I've made a few of these and they stay centered fine... I've done some
with small removable bails so that the necklace is convertible (toggle
in back w/ no pendant).

And I do the same thing with nice Bali 'S' hooks, hanging vertical in
the front w/ pendant, or in the back w/ no pendant. Sometimes the hooks
or toggles are just too pretty to hide in the back under long hair! =)

It would look great with a toggle shaped like an anchor and coral beads with
a nautical pendant, too.

It *is* pretty heavily weighted with that focal -- I'd think the
centering wouldn't be any problem. I've seen them without a focal,
too, on various women, and never off-center. Don't know how they
achieve that balancing act, though.

OK. This makes sense.

Though now I have more ideas. How about the focal on the ring of the round
part, and two curved toggles on the necklace.
