Very nice, Donna. Thank you for sharing. I especially liked the comments
about the cars. Sometimes I just don't know how they can manage to make
some so just hard down ugly. Polly

Geez, I'm gettin' old! As a kid, we did have a phone just line the one on
that wall, and a kitchen stove that used wood! We did actually have an
electric refrigerator, but our 'cross-the-alley neighbors had an "ice box" -
and we neighborhood kids used to sneak chunks of ice out of the back of the
ice truck when the deliveryman was taking a load of ice inside! Kick the
can? sure thing! Hopscotch drawn on the sidewalk with chalk, too. Life
wasn't so hectic then, either!

Thanks for sharing.

One of my favorite memories was the phone on the wall that you had to crank.
Whoever installed ours was taller than just about anyone in our family. I
was approximately 5'4" and had to reach way up there. It was really hard to
crank the stupid thing while reaching up over your head!

I agree about cars. They used to have personalities, now except for just a
few they all look alike.
