Default 2 Moons

27th August 2007, a Monday the Whole World is waiting
for.............2 moons on 27th August 2007

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.
It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will
cultivate on Aug. 27, 2007 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be

sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has
2 moons.

The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it
again.

not fully accurate as far as I can tell, though some of the numbers are
partially correct, Mars came closer to Earth than it had for a very long
time on 27th August 2003 and the distance was indeed 34.65 million
miles. Useful though this was for astronomers the apparent size would be
no where near that of the moon, which is an awful lot closer, but no
where near the same factor smaller. The date it's next expected to be
that close is correct, 28th August 2287.

cheers

Sorry, but it's not true. Red flags for me were the usual "share it
with your friends" line, and the phrase "this will cultivate on Aug
27" . Is it growing a garden???? Anyway, when in doubt, check out

Thanks. I got it from a 'former' reliable source. Won't take their word
without checking again.

Heh. Don't feel bad. I heard about this about a week ago. I not only
forwarded to everybody I
knew, because I thought it was cool, but wrote it down on the calendar
so I wouldn't forget.
Then I found out it was bogus.
