Default Looking for Red & Black Wool Check Fabric

Good evening!

I thought I'd ask the experts.

Does anyone know of an online site that carries red & black wool check fabric -
like used in lumberjack shirts? With checks about 1" square?

I'm a quilter and can track down any batik on the planet. But when it comes to
fabric for clothes, I'm clueless. I've done some general searches with not much
success.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

It's called "Buffalo Plaid". See:

Sorry, Google didn't seem to find a fabric store which carries it.

Michele - Fabric.com has a heavyweight wool coating fabric with 1.5" checks
for $5.37 yd (60" wide). Might be too heavy for a shirt - you could email
them and ask or order a swatch for $1.

No affiliation... Haven't ordered from them for a long time - because I've
got several lifetimes' worth of fabric already. They were great when I
ordered and I've never heard any one complain about them - only raves. HTH

I believe I saw some red and black buffalo plaid at Fabric Depot...
the items on their website are minuscule in comparison to their
actual stock, so try dropping a note to info @ fabricdepot.com
or calling the number on the website.
