No, I'm afraid I don't. I was simply asked by a fellow jeweler, who currently studies
with Valentin, but who doesn't have decent internet access at the moment, to post the
announcement. Call Metals Edge Studio to find the prices.

I CAN tell you, however, if you're not familier with Valentin's work, that he is indeed
a phenomenally talented artist and a fine teacher. At last year's SNAG conference in
Florida, he was one of the presenters, discussing how he came to the field, student
experiences, how he came to the U.S., and his work, past and present. It's extremely
inspiring work. He not only had the advantage of studying with living masters of
chasing and repousse in Europe, but also was able to do a lot of historical research,
piecing together the tools and techniques used by ancient Scythian metalsmiths, who did
a lot of their work via wonderfully masterful chasing and repousse. Having the good
luck to have extended direct access to extensive collections of that ancient body of
work, as well as others, added a lot to his own understanding of the tools that were
used and how they were used, which of course he incorporated into what he was doing.
At this time, he's probably the formost teacher of these skills in the U.S. Not to
mention a really nice guy too. His workshops are well worth attending if you've the
means and desire to do so.
