Eucalyptus and Mulberry
I've carved walking sticks from Eucalyptus and Mulberry with some degree of
success, although I am a rank amateur fer sure. Is there any special processing that should be done on these woods prior to carving? Carving is definitely easier when the wood is green, but I see in most threads that you should store it in a cool, moist place for a very long time prior to carving. So far I haven't experienced any checked pieces from carving them early. |
