Starlia,

Please delve deeply into this medical problem. We lost our bead friend
Carol, when she discovered her headaches were from a tumor. Maybe if she
had gone to doctors earlier and been more insistent......

I'm feeling okay...and yes Sooz it's the headaches +. I am now very

tender
on the top of my head which the doctors are saying shouldn't happen. It
hurts to wash it, brush it, etc. Lord help anyone who touches it. I had
MRI done yesterday and will have the results in a few days. I just hate

the
part where they do the contrast. Stupid paramedic didn't listen to me

when
I said my veins move and are hard to get. (And I don't like paramedics
because my ex is one.)

Margie - the pillows are 15x15mm. It's the only size she has now, but she
is making larger sizes. I'm not sure if I will buy the larger sizes since
this one works for me.

I'm sorry you're feeling so poorly, Starlia! I hope the sleep does
you lots and lots of good.

What size are these pillows, they're an interesting shape!

I get them a few plus times a year and
I can't for a minute imagine what I'd do if I got them more often.

Me neither (I get them about once every couple of months). I once had one for
8 straight days, and I thought I was going to die, die, die. And the fact that
your meds make you Someone Else is a rotten trick.

I have such a love/hate thing with drugs! I mean, so many people would be dead
without them, or suffering terribly. But........

I am seeing a neurologist right now who is doing all he can. We are waiting
on the tests to come back. Thank you.

I so agree with you about the meds. I really, really try not to take them.
When I think I'm about to die and want to crawl into a corner with a blanket
over my head is about the time I'll give in. Otherwise I prefer to be me.

But man, I hope they find a cure for those horrible headaches. Bob and DD
both have them, and I had them as a kid, and your suffering must be
unbearable.

Kathy N-V

There is one thing that can stop them outright but the other effects have me
worried. They can severe the occipital nerve at the base of my brain. It's
something I haven't wanted to do but I might get there eventually.

Poor Bob and DD. I can't imagine having headaches that bad as a kid. That
really sucks they both have them.

While I do have the occasional migraine, what I
really have are occipital nerve headaches. They are like migraines, but
they never go away.

Have they tried a block first - before they even THINK of cutting!?!?!?!
Or is that why they were using the botox???
some of these occipital headaches can also be treated with electrial nerve
stimulators (kind of like TENS)...
Also - don't call me crazy - but - have you tried a chiropractor???
I've actually had chiropractors stop cluster/nerve headaches cold ... walk in
in pain - walk out -pain free.
it's weird.... really..... I didn't believe it until 25 years ago a friend
dragged me to a chiropractor .... and I was saying "you're nuts - nothing
cures these but darkness, ice, and pain meds!"

The guy worked on me about 15 minutes as I'm grumpily saying to myself (what a
waste of time - I feel like a fool...)
- and the Dr said -
.... "there - how do you feel now?" -- and I suddenly realized my headache was
gone! very very very weird...
but - I've had it done several times - if they are not real migraines - but
rather occipital nerve entrapment /muscle spasm cycle type headaches - they can
HELP!!!
see a chiropractor or a D.O. for a consult!!!!
