Hi, I am a long time beader and have just found this group. Looks
like I can enjoy being here. My two most recent beading books are
available through amazon.com They are :Pristine's Beaded Alive: A
Natural Beginning and Pristine's Beaded Beauties: Wolves, Bats, and
Other Critters of Travel. Both of these books focus on Peyote stitch.
Beaded Beauties has a detailed how to section. Would love to know what
you guys think if any of you look them over.

Welcome! Both those books look great! I don't have them, but looked them
up on Amazon. I like Peyote, but boy do I have a hard time following a
pattern.

I hope you'll share some pictures of your work!

Jerri, you might like Beaded Beauties. I included word charts as well
as the traditional visual pattern. My customers that were having a
hard time following charts went wild over these patterns, Because they
could do them easily! Joan

Oh, Hi Joan,

Welcome. You should post a few links to pictures of your gorgeous beadwork.
(Put ad in the subject line if you link to your store, other than in your
signature).

Folks, this lady runs our LBS (Local Bead Store). We probably get most of
our supplies on line, but, you know, there is no substitute for a well
stocked local store. We'd be in deep doo doo without them.

This lady also teaches at the university and all sorts of other things. And
she's got gorgeous rocks too. Come on, Joan, tell them about yourself.

Now that summer is done, I have to focus on getting everything done outside
(as opposed to Outside) to get ready for winter. But in another couple of
weeks, my focus, not to mention comfort, will be indoors and on beading
again.
