Ohio Star Gift Quilt presented
We took up the Ohio Star Quilt I made for my sister-in-law and gave it
to her on tuesday. It was a very heart tugging experience, to present it to her. My wife did a lovely job of gift wrapping it and when we gave it to her she was almost crying. As I thought, she doesn't have any quilts of her own, and she was so appreciative of the fact that I would even think of giving one to her. Now that that part of it is done, I have thought of a perfect gift for her husband. He has retired from teaching high school mathematics, after a 30 year career, and I have decided to make him a quilt with the School House pattern. He has also been most helpful to us, and it will be a great way to say thank you to him for all his efforts in our behalf. I have located a couple of patterns online, but I was wondering if anybody had any school house pattern that they particularly like. I could just use one of the ones I know about, but I am willing to entertain other choices, as to this pattern. Thanks. John |

Get some graph paper or make your own graph and design your own schoolhouse blocks. :^) It's actually very easy. John |

It's great fun to do old fashioned looking school house blocks- I have a
Christmas fabric with a brass colored bell printed on it. I always use it on a schoolhouse or church block to add a bell in the 'belfry'(???)! Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
