Default OT - Hunter (the service dog)

I just heard on our local news that Hunter has been reunited with his owner.

Nightmist, have you been in touch with her yet? She sounded like one happy
person in the interview!

Wonderful Wonderful ... I love happy endings to animal stories ... I'm
such a wimp when I hear stories like Hunter's.

YAY! That's great news! SO happy for Hunter AND his owner. I'm sure they
missed each other something fierce.

Oh blessed news. Did he find his own way back or did someone find and
return him?

I'm so very delighted to hear that. I have been holding my breath and
hoping to hear this news. I watch these aid dogs on TV programmes and
my heart goes out to them and their humans. The love and bond between
them is so marvellous. It is making my eyes fill with tears just to
think about it. They are *both* an inspiration.
Thanks Louise.

A "Pet Detective" was hired to find him. As I understand it, a woman and
her dog who are experts at finding lost pets, came from Colorado and tracked
the lost dog. The detective dog had to "convince" the wandering dog to come
back to the humans who were searching for him. He was so skittish that when
they would sight him, he'd run away when approached. The detective dog then
nudged Hunter back to the humans. It would have been something to see.
Everyone is now reunited and very happy.
